"THERE GOES THE NIGHT"

Day 1

After surviving Horrorcante airport once again I had to face some rather uncomfortable experiences on the flight to Oslo.

No-one expects to be pampered on these budget airlines but simple courtesy is a must in the service industry and these people need to be reminded of that. (Yes, I will!)

Maybe the flight attendant had some personal problems but sometimes we just have to leave these things behind and do our job as professionals ...

Anyway we arrived in Oslo on time and I met Steve as we prepared for the flight to Bardefoss which is in the far north of Norway .... where it doesn´t get dark at this time of year!

We didn´t know at the time but this fact (as quaint and fascinating as it is to experience) was going to cause us some problems later.

But this show had been sold out for a while and Krister and his team met us at the little airport for the 90 minute drive to Gryllefjord, our home for the next few days.

They had prepared a small house for us on the edge of the fjord and it was really quite a beautiful location.

Everything we needed was there and so we drank a little red wine and went to bed to try and sleep.

As it turned out this was practically impossible because, at 01:00 in the morning it was broad daylight!!

Hmmmm.....
